SCHMERSAL GROUP has developed a particulate filter half mask without an exhalation valve. The reusable SPM100 breathing mask meets the requirements of EN 149:2001+A1+2009 FFP2 and is now available. The mask is designed to reliably prevent solid and liquid aerosols.

The main body of the mask in SPM100 (Schmersal Protective Mask) is made of medical grade biocompatible polypropylene (PP) and can be reused. The mask seal is made of silicone, which can be easily removed for routine disinfection, and then quickly reinserted into the mask. The filter cover can be easily removed, so that the filter can be easily replaced. All reusable parts of the mask are made of resistant materials suitable for cleaning and disinfection.

SPM100 respiratory protection mask is used with FFP2 filter element, PPE Class III to prevent inhalation and/or transfer of particles, droplets and aerosols. The filter unit can filter certain particles in the air inhaled by the wearer within the specified limits of the filter used.

SPM100 is a respiratory protection mask without an exhalation valve. A respiratory protective mask without an exhalation valve protects the wearer and prevents the wearer from contaminating his or her surrounding environment by the exhaled droplets. In addition, the mask also contains components compatible with the skin to provide the wearer with maximum comfort.

"In developing the SPM100 respiratory protection mask, we took full advantage of our years of experience in safety technology and occupational safety. We want to help ensure that people can work safely and stay healthy even in this difficult time of the coronavirus," explained Matthias Banaszek, strategic organization development project manager.

In addition to the SPM100 respiratory protection mask, the Schmersal Group also provides other products and services to help protect employees from coronavirus infection in the work environment. This includes "Schmersal Access Control" (SAC-IO-20), a digital organization that implements access management by restricting visitors (for example, in a retail environment). The system is an intuitive traffic light system with an integrated counter that automatically counts the number of visitors entering a store or other facility. In addition, Schmersal’s service department, Tecnicum, provides companies in all industries with the implementation and recording of "infection prevention risk assessments"-this is a legal requirement for employers subject to industrial health and safety supervision and is completely independent of the current coronavirus pandemic. Popularity.
