Covid-19 cases have surged in New York and other parts of the country. The CDC has recommended that all 62 counties in New York State resume the use of masks indoors.
When the Covid-19 pandemic began, hospitals were forced to restrict the use of NIOSH-approved N95 respirators, and it was difficult for people to obtain them. However, these types of high-quality personal protective equipment are now easily available online. If you have not supplemented the supply of respirators or still rely mainly on cloth masks, now is a good time to make changes.
N95 masks can filter out at least 95% of airborne particles. They fit tightly to limit the amount of air entering the edge, and unlike cloth masks, they not only block droplets. You can find more information about N95 masks from the CDC here.
