New Delhi: Experts say that poor air in the capital may cause health hazards to people who have recovered from severe Covid infection this year, as pollutants may aggravate their lung conditions. "COVID-19 is now on the list of problems that can cause lung weakness.

Those who have severe COVID-19, need oxygen or ventilator support, or have severe lung injury may face other infections-coughs and other chest infections," said AIIMS Professor of Medicine, Dr. Neeraj Nischal. “People who suffer from COPD, asthma or even lung damage during Covid infection are more likely to have secondary infections and damage to lung infections,” said Dr. Ashish Khatter, a senior medical consultant at Venkateshwar Hospital. He pointed out that N95 masks must be used because it helps stop pollutants and Covid. He also said that smoking is a strict taboo these days. "A person should drink plenty of water, drink plenty of water," commented the senior doctor.
