Sheriff's Office Seeking Information on Suspect in Dollar General Robbery

ASHEBORO N.C. – The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a suspect involved in a robbery of the Coleridge Dollar General earlier this week.

On August 14, 2022, at approximately 9:15 pm, an armed robbery occurred at the Dollar General located at 4448 NC HWY 22 S., in Ramseur which is located in the Coleridge area.

Surveillance video shows a male enter the business at approximately 9:15 pm wearing black pants, tan in color boots, black jacket with white lettering near the left side, a black face mask, and blue in color hood. The suspect then interacted with the clerk, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. After obtaining money from the business the suspect left through the front door and headed south towards the Bennett area in a silver in color passenger car with the headlights off. Investigators believe there may have been a passenger in the vehicle.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’ 7” inches tall and 170lbs. He is a racially mixed or Hispanic male (light skin tone) who was wearing tan in color boots, black pants, black jacket with white lettering near the left side, a black face mask, and blue in color hood or hoodie. The suspect was carrying a black book bag.
