Eureka (520 Del Norte St.): Sunday worship takes place at 10 a.m. Masking is optional during the service, but required for those who want to sing. Ferndale (795 Berding St.): Sunday Family Bible study for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by the Divine Service at 10:30 a.m. Bible study is held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. A new series is on the Book of Acts: The Life of the Early Church.” The pastor is the Rev. Arcata (1675 Chester Ave.): An in-person service of Holy Eucharist is set for 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the 11th Sunday after Pentecost. Sunday school for children begins at 9:15 a.m. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided from 9:15 a.m. through the 10:30 a.m. service. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated and required for non-vaccinated individuals. St. Alban’s is taking a summer break from livestreaming the 10:30 am service via its YouTube channel. stalbansarcata.org.

Arcata (1690 Janes Road): St. Mary’s offers a Saturday Vigil Mass today at 4p.m. and Sunday Masses at 8:30 and 11 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to wear a face mask, practice social distancing and be free of COVID-19 symptoms. www.stmarysarcata.org.

Blue Lake (340 Greenwood Ave.): St. Joseph is a mission of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arcata, and no masses are being held at the mission location at this time. www.stmarysarcata.org.

Fortuna (568 16th St.): The church gathers in person Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for worship and Holy Communion. The service will also be shown on Facebook Live. This church is fully handicapped accessible. Masks are optional for COVID-19 vaccinated individuals, and those who aren’t vaccinated are asked to wear a mask. 707-725-4686.

Eureka (1032 Bay St.): Services are Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Eureka (239 Buhne St.): The Sunday Celebration Service will be held at 10 a.m. in person and via Zoom. To participate via Zoom, go to www.eurekacenterforspiritualliving.com. Arcata (670 11th St.): On Sunday, there will be an in-person service at 11 a.m. Face masks and social distancing are required. The service can also be viewed live on the church’s Facebook page and via You Tube. The Rev. Dan Link’s sermon is titled “Bent Double.” The church Missions Store is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. Eureka (900 Hodgson St.): The church is open for worship with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. Those attending must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination. On Sunday, the Rev. Cindi Knox will officiate the message, “Rest,” based on Luke 13: 10-17. The service will also be livestreamed on YouTube at 10:30 a.m. This is an immigrant welcoming, open and affirming fellowship. 707-445-5488.

Bayside (24 Fellowship Way): “The Future of Worship III” will be the topic facilitated by members of the fellowship’s Program and Worship Committee in an 11 a.m. hybrid service on Sunday. The final discussion in an exploration of the future of worship will ask what elements of worship are essential. It will also explore what innovations could people create together that would advance the future of worship. Services can be viewed live by going to huuf.org and accessing the link. They are also available recorded on the same website.

Eureka (2526 J St.): Senior Pastor Sumit Sen will be preaching. The service starts at 10 a.m. Sunday and is available in person or via livestream. Children’s Sunday school classes are dismissed during the service. www.fcceureka.org.

Eureka (819 15th St.): Pastor Rus Kostis will lead the Sunday service at 9:30 a.m. The service can also be viewed on the church Facebook page. His sermon is titled “Lute and Liar,” and is based on Genesis 4: 8b-26. Sunday school is available for young children. 707-443-4897.

Eureka (625 15th St.): The church will celebrate Holy Eucharist: Rite II at 8 and 10:30 a.m. on this 11th Sunday after Pentecost. The Rev. Daniel London will be the celebrant and preacher. McKinleyville (1645 Fischer Road): A Sunday traditional worship service starts at 10:30 a.m. The message will be presented by Pastor Chuck Clark. A mid-service fellowship break with coffee and refreshments will take place. 707-834-5505.

Arcata (1761 11th St.): There is an in-person Sunday service at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Bethany Cseh’s message is titled “Mercy Seat.” COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place. People can also view the service via Facebook Live at 9:30 a.m.

Sacrament meetings are held Sundays from 10 to 11 a.m. in Eureka (2806 Dolbeer St.) and in Fortuna (1444 Ross Hill Road).

Bayside (2023 Old Arcata Road): The Sunday service is in person and starts at 9:30 a.m. The pastor is the Rev. Dan Link.

McKinleyville (2333 McKinleyville Ave): Worship services are at 10 a.m. Sundays. Pastor David Kilmer is sharing a series of messages on “The Good News of God.” Masks are optional. Services are also available via Facebook Live. 707-839-7993.

Eureka: Temple Beth El has a Kabbalat Shabbat service Friday evenings, Torah study on Saturdays and Mondays and a variety of programs and guest speakers, all available via Zoom. templebetheleureka.org.

Arcata: This group meets Sundays at 6 p.m. to practice the meditation on loving kindness and compassion, the practice of Chenrezig. The meeting takes place on a virtual platform, and all are welcome. Eureka (615 H St.): Holy Mass is Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Daily Mass is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:15 p.m. Adoration is on Wednesdays after the 12:15 p.m. Mass is at 1 p.m. First Friday Devotions are at 5:30 p.m. St. Joseph Mass is 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday Mass is at 7:30 a.m. 707-442-6466.

Fortuna (2301 Rohnerville Road): Service is held Saturdays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with Pastor Dan Freedman. Masks are required. In addition, the service is broadcast on 106.1 FM.

Eureka (2020 Campton Road): Pastor Mike Gitchel will lead the Sunday worship service, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Adult Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. Gitchel is offering a series on “Warrior-Winning the Invisible War.” 707-442-3510.
