In order to continue our efforts to provide a safe environment in the downtown of the University of Houston, all buildings on the campus are equipped with mask dispensers.

"Keeping our campus community safe is a team effort," said Cynthia Vargas, UHD Director of Emergency Management. "UHD will always look for new ways to enhance campus safety as its top priority."

The dispenser is located in a high-traffic area on the campus, and it is filled with individually packaged three-layer disposable masks. Vargas said these dispensers will be replenished regularly so that they are readily available.

If the UHD community finds that the number of distributors is insufficient, Vargas recommends sending an email to uhdcovid19@uhd.edu and they will be filled in time.

"We are a mask-friendly campus," she said. "No masks are needed, but anyone who wants masks can easily find them in different locations in our building."

Downtown Houston University (UHD) is the second largest university in Houston and has been serving the educational needs of the fourth largest city in the United States since 1974.
